About

Dr. Sandra Weszelits holds a doctorate degree in nursing and is a pediatric nurse practitioner with over 34 years of experience in the care and treatment of critically and chronically ill children.

Her current practice focuses on pediatric surgery patients and children with chronic-care needs, with particular emphasis on children with gastrostomy tubes. In this practice she cares for patients inpatient, outpatient, and as an assistant at surgery. She is an active educator and mentor for her advanced practice colleagues nurses, and students.

Dr. Weszelits holds an adjunct faculty appointment at Saint Xavier University and Loyola University-Chicago.
