About

Dr. Tannous was born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa, and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He then joined the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he completed medical school and earned his PhD studying mechanisms of myocardial remodeling. Dr. Tannous remained in Dallas for pediatric residency, and then relocated to Boston Children’s Hospital for general cardiology fellowship, followed by a senior year in Interventional Cardiology. As a member of Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Tannous specializes in transcatheter care of children and adults with congenital heart disease. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Tannous also conducts translational research investigating the development of vascular malformations in the setting of cyanotic congenital heart disease.
