Dr. Magdalena Stec is a pediatric optometrist at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. She has worked in the Division of Ophthalmology since 2008 and specializes in caring for children with myopia and other refractive errors, post-concussion syndrome, specialty contact lenses, amblyopia, strabismus screening, and low vision rehabilitation. Dr. Stec sees patients with failed vision screenings and kindergarten exams as well as general exams. She practices evidence-based medicine and participates in a multitude of studies in her field. She is compassionate and loves to work with pediatric patients. She strives to make their eye exams fun-filled and comfortable. Dr. Stec provides a comprehensive exam to all children and offer treatments and collaborative care that is according to latest research. Outside of work, Dr. Stec enjoys spending time with her family. They love sports, outdoor activities and traveling.
