About Me
Ayelet Rosenthal, MD MSc, is an attending physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where she serves as the Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Control. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dr. Rosenthal earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completed a Master of Science in the department of Immunology and Cancer Research at The Hebrew University. She completed her pediatric residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, followed by a Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship at Stanford University.
Prior to joining Lurie Children’s, Dr. Rosenthal was faculty at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University. Her professional focus includes the prevention of hospital-acquired conditions and healthcare-associated exposures, transmission of multidrug-resistant organisms, and the safe reduction of isolation duration. She has a particular interest in the care of immunocompromised children.
