About Me
As a pediatric neuropsychologist, my initial training is in clinical psychology, but I have specialization in brain development and the impact of different medical conditions on brain development. Patients are referred to me because their medical course may have altered their path. My goal in working with each one of them, though, is to find their strengths as much as their challenges.
Stephanie Powell is a pediatric neuropsychologist at Lurie Children's. She completed her residency in pediatric neuropsychology at Kennedy Krieger Institute / Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2006. She joined Lurie Children's in 2014.
Dr. Powell is the director of Lurie Children's Neuropsychology Service. Her clinical focus is in oncology, specifically the neuropsychological correlates of brain tumors, childhood cancers, and their treatments.
