About
Alison Osborne is an advanced practice nurse in the Colorectal Center within the Division of Pediatric Surgery. She specializes in the care and treatment of children undergoing surgery for a variety of acute and chronic conditions, with a particular focus on bowel management, wounds, gastronomy and cecostomy tubes, Malones and ostomies.
Alison is part of Lurie Children’s team of advanced practice nurses certified in wound and ostomy care, the largest team in Illinois specifically focused on the care and treatment of pediatric patients. She and her colleagues use the latest and most advanced wound care techniques and specialize in pain minimizing approaches.
She received her Bachelor's degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia and her Master's degree at DePaul University in Chicago, IL and is an active member of the Pediatric Colorectal and Pelvic Learning Consortium, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Society.
