Dr. Benjamin T. Many is a general pediatric surgeon with specialized expertise in colorectal surgery and chest wall disorders. He treats children with conditions such as imperforate anus, Hirschsprung disease, congenital anomalies and many others. He also specializes in chest wall conditions including pectus excavatum and pectus carinatum.

Dr. Many’s clinical and research focus is on improving surgical outcomes, recovery and access to high-quality care for children. His academic work centers on understanding postoperative recovery, using innovative technologies such as wearable monitoring devices and developing patient-reported outcome measures to better support children and families through surgery. He has also contributed to research on common pediatric surgical conditions including appendicitis, chest wall deformities and gastrointestinal disorders, with the goal of improving safety, reducing complications and enhancing recovery.

In addition to outcomes research, Dr. Many has been actively involved in global surgical initiatives, working with healthcare leaders to expand access to safe pediatric surgical care and implement new technologies in resource-limited settings. His work spans clinical studies, multicenter collaborations and health systems research, reflecting a commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care. He is also recognized for excellence in teaching and mentorship and is dedicated to compassionate communication with patients, families and referring providers.
