Monica Langer is a pediatric surgeon specializing in the treatment of newborns, infants and children with a range of conditions including congenital and acquired diseases of the neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis, traumatic injuries, hernias, gastroesophageal malformations, adolescent breast disease, prenatal counseling, intestinal disease and anorectal malformations.

Clinical and Research Expertise

Surgical treatment of congenital anomalies, and childhood cancers, with a particular interest in gastroschisis, as well as colorectal cancer, carcinoid tumors, and pancreatic cancer in children.  Dr. Langer has a particular interest in clinical research aimed at improving outcomes for children requiring surgery in low-resource settings.
