Suzanne Kujawa is an advanced practice nurse specializing in the treatment and care of children undergoing surgery for a variety of acute and chronic conditions. She is one of two pediatric nurse practitioners with the Chest Wall Deformity Specialty Clinic. Suzy joined Lurie Children's in 2009 working with the Division of Pediatric Surgery both inpatient and outpatient.

Currently, she provides specialty care to patients with chest wall deformities in the outpatient setting including preoperative evaluation, postoperative care and educational consultations. She works collaboratively supporting Chest Wall surgeons and individually managing chest wall patients. She offers compression bracing for pectus carinatum and non-operative management for pectus excavatum via the Vacuum Bell device. She offers visits in person and telemedicine. She sees patients from birth to early adulthood.

Suzy has been an active contributor to the numerous research articles published regarding Chest Wall Deformities with her Lurie Children's colleagues and is proud to have positively impacted the patient experience via an extensive Care Guideline for post-operative chest wall patients.

She received her bachelor’s degree in human biology from the University of Kansas and her master’s of science in nursing degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Suzy serves as a member of the American Pediatric Surgical Nurses Association (APSNA). She is also a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
