About

Dr. Peter Koenig has been in practice with general outpatient and inpatient pediatric cardiology for 30 years and has managed a range of cardiac disease from simple to complex. He takes care of patients of all ages (from infancy until early adulthood, after reaching independence). Most of the time, the patients Dr. Koenig sees have no significant disease and the most important thing he does is explain things in understandable terms and provide reassurance. His approach tends to be honest and direct while being empathetic. He also realizes that this may be difficult when everyone is wearing masks. Dr. Koenig's one request for all patients or parents is to speak up and ask questions or bring up any remaining concerns. Otherwise, he may not know these exist.
