Terrence Z. Huit, PhD

Dr. T. Zachary Huit is a Pediatric Psychologist within the Division of Pediatric Urology and Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. His areas of clinical expertise are in working within  pediatric health contexts, with subspecialties in urologic health, LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults, childhood and young adult trauma and stressors, and a growing expertise in working with young people presenting with a variety of sex characteristics and urogenital traits. A bulk of Dr. Huit’s prior research has focused on well-being of transgender and gender diverse communities particularly youth and young adults, health disparities and care access, and childhood traumatic experiences. His more recent program focuses on the health and well-being of pediatric urology populations, complex medical presentations, and medical traumatic stress and anxiety.
