Emily was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She began her nursing career at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Lincoln Park and worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Emily pursued her master’s degree while working and graduated from Rush University in 2012 from the Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program. As an Advanced Practice Nurse, Emily worked on the Cardiac Critical Care team in the Regenstein Cardiac Care Unit prior to her transitioning to the Cardiac Catheterization Lab in 2021.
