David F. Grabski, MD, PhD

At Lurie Children’s Dr. Grabski takes a multidisciplinary approach to complex surgical conditions, working closely with hepatologists, radiologists and interventional radiologists to develop individualized treatment plans and optimize outcomes. He combines meticulous surgical preparation and technical expertise with a compassionate, family-centered approach, helping families understand complex diagnoses, treatment options, and the role of surgery in their child’s care.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Grabski holds a PhD in tumor biology and conducts research focused on hepatoblastoma and Wilms tumor, including the genetic factors that contribute to these diseases. His research also examines clinical outcomes in biliary disease, with a focus on optimizing surgical techniques and postoperative care.

Through his clinical and research work, Dr. Grabski is committed to advancing treatment for children with complex surgical conditions and translating new scientific discoveries into improved therapies and outcomes for patients and their families.
