Dr. Engen is a board-certified pediatric nephrologist providing inpatient and outpatient general nephrology and transplantation care to children across the spectrum of kidney disease, including glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and congenital abnormalities. As the Medical Director of the renal transplantation program at Ann & Robert H Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, she collaborates with surgeons, nutritionists, social workers, pharmacists, and psychologists to improve the lives of children with end-stage renal disease through transplantation. Dr Engen’s research interested include noninvasive ways to detect early or low-grade transplant rejection and the impact of antibodies an long-term transplant survival.
