Sarah Bazzetta, MMS, PA-C is an Advanced Practice Provider with more than 8 years of clinical and academic experience. She specializes in the care and treatment of children facing fertility threatening treatments. She works in close collaboration with the Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation and The Potocsnak Family Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine.
Ms. Bazzetta is part of the multidisciplinary Fertility & Hormone Preservation & Restoration program at Lurie Children’s. The fertility program at Lurie Children’s is the only one of its kind in the state of Illinois. Together, this team of clinicians is dedicated to providing options for fertility preservation to pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients, including cancer patients who may encounter potential complications resulting from aggressive treatments. Lurie Children’s has over a decade of experience in their comprehensive program, offering solutions to both male and female patients. Fertility preservation can also apply to patients treated for other conditions, such as patients with genetic disorders that might cause infertility, patients with rheumatology disorders who receive medications that might result in infertility, and patients taking hormone therapies.
Ms. Bazzetta has also participated in more than 20 medical camps for children with cancer and their families in Chicago, Washington, DC, and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
