About Me
As a pediatric intensivist, my goal is to deliver outstanding, compassionate care for critically ill children and their families while advancing research that improves outcomes for future patients.
Colleen Badke is a pediatric intensivist at Lurie Children's. She completed her pediatric residency, chief residency, and fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Lurie Children's.
Dr. Badke provides comprehensive care for critically ill children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). In addition to her clinical work, she is a physician-scientist whose research focuses on developing and implementing prediction models to improve the early recognition of clinical deterioration and enhance care for critically ill children. She is the recipient of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Career Development (K) Award supporting her research in pediatric critical care.
Dr. Badke is actively involved in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, fellows, and early-career investigators. Her clinical and research interests include pediatric critical care, clinical informatics, predictive analytics, physiologic monitoring, and the application of artificial intelligence to improve patient outcomes.
