Chainsaw Manor: A Chilling Fundraiser!

At the heart of Chainsaw Manor lies a mission that's as powerful as it is spooky. Kevin and Stacy's journey with Lurie Children’s started in 2019 when their twins were born. After complications, their daughter Jade was hospitalized and diagnosed with Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC). For the first 5 months of her life, she underwent surgeries and lifesaving measures at the Lurie Children’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The exceptional doctors and nurses there didn’t just provide medical assistance, they went above and beyond to save her life. The medical team’s dedication during the family’s most vulnerable moments transformed their lives forever, creating an unbreakable bond between the family and Lurie Children’s. This experience ignited a passion in them to give back.

“We wanted to find a way to give back and support the hospital in their mission to help other children and families,” said Jade’s dad, Kevin. “Fundraising for Lurie Children’s is our way of saying thank you and ensuring that others have access to the same life-saving care Jade received.”

Chainsaw Manor

For the past two years, the Friduss family has been hosting an electrifying event that combines fun, fear, and philanthropy: Chainsaw Manor. This haunted yard display supports the NICU at Lurie Children’s and promises to deliver a thrilling Halloween experience while making a meaningful impact.

As the sun sets and the spooky season approaches, Chainsaw Manor will come alive with eerie attractions, from live scare actors to a haunting graveyard. Visitors will be immersed in a world of ghostly decor and spine-tingling effects, all while contributing to a cause that provides crucial care and hope to newborns and their families.

• Dates: Oct 31 (4:30 PM - 9 PM) and Nov 1 (6:30 PM - 10 PM) 

• Location: Chainsaw Manor
