During her years at Vanderbilt, Harris was Vice Chair for Academic Affairs in the Department of Pediatrics, Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care and the Division of Hospital Medicine, as well as Associate Professor of Anesthesiology in the Department of Anesthesiology. She served as the Interim Division Director, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, June 2010 – August 2011.
