Northwestern University
Affiliated Transplant Centers

Northwestern University Affiliated Transplant Centers (NUATC) is the alliance of two major organ transplant programs: the pediatric programs at Lurie Children’s and the adult programs at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. NUATC was created in 1997 with a mission to create an environment in which patients of all ages can receive outstanding comprehensive transplant care and where physicians and surgeons can contribute meaningfully to the understanding of transplantation through research. While each participating hospital continues to be a national leader, the synergy created as a result of the alliance of the transplant programs clearly enhances them tremendously by improving the ability to render transplant care particularly in the area of living donation.

NUATC is a national leader in patient care, education and research in transplantation and delivers a continuum of outstanding care for patients of all ages, not only in transplant surgery but also by providing comprehensive care for organ system diseases. NUATC delivers a comprehensive single resource for the expertise related to transplantation procedures as well as lifelong follow-up care for patients of all ages.
