The Division of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery provides medical and surgical treatment for children with disorders of the ears, nose and throat (ENT), as well as head and neck tumors. Our physicians treat more children for ENT conditions than any other hospital in Illinois, and our specialists perform approximately 30 percent of all surgeries at Lurie Children’s.
Our specialists have special training in pediatrics to provide age-appropriate care to children for a wide range of conditions, including:
- Ear infections
- Recurrent sore throats
- Snoring
- Tonsillitis
- Hearing loss
- Microtia and aural atresia
- Sleep disorders
- Complex airway and swallowing disorders
- Head and neck masses
- Vocal cord disorders
- 22q11.2 deletion syndrome and velopharyngeal insufficiency
- Skull base disorders
Our entire staff is dedicated to treating infants, children and teens. The team includes pediatric otolaryngologists​, pediatric advanced practice providers, nurses and social workers. To provide coordinated care when necessary for our patients, our team members work closely with other pediatric specialists at Lurie Children’s, especially in allergy and immunology, audiology, cancer, gastroenterology, neurosurgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, pulmonary medicine and speech and language pathology.
